
Mark's career as a professional musician currently spans 25 years and has given him the opportunity to perform throughout the world, playing to audiences as diverse as Australian Outback communities to the Japanese Royal family, from venues ranging from Urban inner city night clubs
to under ground W.W.II bunkers in Germany and tropical island resorts to snow bound communities in former communist Europe.
His skills as a multi instrumentalist / music programmer have provided him the opportunity to perform live with international artists such as Toni Childs (USA), Lance Keltner (USA), Glynn Johns (UK) and Keith Casey (Santana). Australian music icons Phil Emanual, Phil Manning (Chain), Ross Wilson (Mondo Rock), as well as current Australian recording artists such as James Blundell, Travis Collins, Luella, Mishele Bradford Jones and Peter Koppes (the Church).
Mark has also supported major National and International artists in concert such Peter Green & The Splinter Group (UK), Brian Auger & The New Oblivion Express (USA), Julian Saas Band (NL), Roy Ayers (USA), Wang Chung (UK), Sonia DaDa (USA), INXS, Midnight Oil, Men At Work, Split Enz, Jimmy Barnes, Renee Gayer, Kevin Borich, The Ten Tenors, Hunters & Collectors, Diesel, Vanessa Amorosi, Adam Brand, Melinda Schneider, Jackson Jackson and Richard Clapton to name just a few.
Internationally Mark has performed at some of the most prestigous international hotels, including six month residencies at the Tokyo Hilton in Shinjuku Japan and the Portman Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai China. Appearances at Vomo Island Resort for Sofitel Hotels in Fiji, and corporate events in Hong Kong.
As a member of the Rob Tognoni Band, Mark played on the 1998, 1999 and 2001 Australian / European club and festival tours and appears on the albums 'Live at the Twilight' and 'Revenge of the Monkey Grinder'. Festival appearances included performances headlining the Roth Blues Festival (Germany), a nationally televised appearance at the Leverkusener Jazz and Blues Festival (Germany), in addition to numerous festivals in Denmark, Netherlands and Germany.
Mark has also been involved in music education conducting bass clinics and workshops in Australia, Germany and Denmark. He was also a staff teacher for the Sunshine Coast Musicians Institue and an instructor for Tafe Queensland speacialising in Music Technology and performance. As a session musician Mark has extensive album credits and his music compositions have appeared on albums released in Australia and Internationally.
